Which mobile platforms does Rover support?
We currently only support iOS™ for the iPad™
Does Rover only work over wifi?
Currently, yes. However, we are constantly updating the Rover streaming service to make it better.
I am a teacher. How can I benefit from using Rover?
Rover resolves some major pain-points for educators. Email us or visit the Rover community page so we can chat in greater detail.
I am not able to connect using Rover. What should I do?
If you are unable to communicate with our servers, launch Rover, tap the Rover logo in the upper left corner of the browser, and then Using Rover to ensure that the following ports and protocols are not blocked. Please talk to your system administrator if you see any with a red 'x'.
- TCP ports: 80, 443
- UDP ports: 53, 443
- ICMP protocol (ping)
If you have checked your network settings and are still having errors, please make a note of the bugs/issues you encounter and send the information to us. Try to be as specific as possible and send us screenshots as necessary.
NOTE: To take a screenshot on your iPad hold down 'Home' and 'Power' buttons at the same time. The image will automatically be saved in iPhoto which you can then email to us.
Ideally, we would like the following information:
- Geographic location of device having issue
- What specifically you were trying to do
- Wi-Fi (on/off)
- iPad1 or iPad 2
- iOS version (4.3, 5.0)
- Sequence of clicks that led you to the problem
- Brief description of the problem
- Screenshot
